Wardrobe Curation

“I’m not a celebrity, why do I need a stylist,” you say. Seems indulgent. Well, for starters, we aren’t stylists. We won’t “pull a look” for you. Just think of us as your stylish best friend.

If you were to go through your own sartorial history and add up all the clothing you purchased with high hopes for a new identity, to fill an urgent need or, worse yet, because it was on 50% discount, it would amount to far more than a wardrobe curation consultation with us. Do you really want to keep spending money on things that don’t serve you well? How did Prairie Goth Chic or Downtown Cowboy turn out? We rest our case.

Virtual Wardrobe Curation

We offer a variety of virtual wardrobe curation sessions for those who are geographically unable to have us pop into your closet in person. This is also for the introverts and those with busy schedules who can’t block out several hours to have a stranger rifle through their drawers. Through our virtual services, we guide you through the wardrobe curation process of your choice, on your schedule allowing you to take as long as you need to complete it.

Our only recommendation is that if you find yourself weak-willed or sentimental when it comes to parting with things, invite your fiercest and most critical friend along to keep you objective when deciding what makes the cut.

The Foundational Edit

Consider this the jumping off point, the springboard, to a well-curated wardrobe. The Foundational Edit is exactly as it sounds, working through your existing wardrobe with a critical eye to determine what stays and what goes. You will begin to define your personal taste as you reflect on the things you love to wear. From there, you will identify the gaps in your newly edited wardrobe and develop a personalized framework for your everyday needs. This does not mean creating a boring, utilitarian uniform. This is about you - what you like, what looks great on you and helping you build a wardrobe to fit your lifestyle.

The Complete Wardrobe

It’s pretty much covered in the title, this session will take you from editing what you own today to building a foundational wardrobe through adding on accessories and garments for a complete, curated wardrobe. You will learn how to make smart choices when shopping for new items, how to work with proportions, a lesson on fabrics - and the session has no end date so you can refer back to it as much as you need.

in Person Consultation

We are located in the Washington, D.C. area but we get around. We routinely visit other markets for in-person consultations.

What to expect

  1. Make the commitment. Scheduling & Intake form.

  2. Introductory Call. let's get to know each other and what it is you're looking to achieve. We want to know how you live in and where you wear clothes.

  3. Consultation. Time to come clean. No, we won't make you give up that t-shirt with sentimental value. Let's start with what you wear most. This will give us an idea of where you're comfortable. What don't you wear and why? What's worth keeping and what needs to be sacked. We will assess what can be saved and altered. What needs to be replaced. Now we know what fundamental items (colors, types, styles) you gravitate toward and how to build a wardrobe you will wear. Here we recommend a starting point of essential garments.

Get Started.

We want to get to know you. Consider it a first date without the candlelight and awkward silences.

We always begin with a quick conversation to help you understand the process, answer questions and quell your fears of being the best dressed person in any room.

Select “Wardrobe Curation Introductory Call” to your right.

We look forward to meeting you.
